Hello
My name is Tony Lowe and I am a philosophy graduate, teacher and author from the United Kingdom.
About Me
My own academic education in philosophy focused heavily on the modern and post-modern tradition, which I ultimately perceived to be confused, nonsensical and much of the foundation for the kind of madness that we see in the modern day. In rejection of this kind of anti-philosophy, I re-examined the pursuit of truth and with the help of people like Aristotle and various Christian scholars, I found my way back to objective truth.
In recent years, I have moved my focus towards two things: the study and use of language, and the proper use of logic and reason, which have culminated in an interest in The Trivium.
My Career and Work
I am one of the very few people who has produced an online course on The Trivium for adults, which systematically explains all of its key concepts. Since its release, the feedback for this course has been overwhelmingly positive.

I have also created courses on related Trivium topics, such as a course on the Socratic Method, which has also been well received.

My “bread and butter” work is as an ESL teacher, with 1000+ lessons worth of experience. This might seem merely tangential to The Trivium but this is work in which I spend all of my time listening carefully to students’ communication skills and help them to improve. I teach English to both natives and non-natives, and teach a variety of things from vocabulary improvement, to essay writing.

I have since taken everything I know from philosophy, logic, language learning, clear communication, to The Trivium and have sought to take what I’ve learned to make it lucid and understandable for both adults and children.
