Home Trivium

Dear Parents,

The vision of this website is to provide homeschoolers with resources, direction and guidance to help equip children with the ability to learn, communicate, and think independently.

It strives to do this with an appeal to the classical Trivium system which combines Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric to equip a student to develop their clear thinking and communication.

Yet, our approach is unique...

Taking inspiration from The Trivium, we seek to provide a form of learning which is at once engaging and practical for families. We focus on the outcomes of these skills, and take that as our starting point...

Here is our model:

We will send every family a series of assignments that require children to exercise their thinking and communication skills.

Each assignment is designed to test and develop different areas of these skills, encouraging the students to become creative and thoughtful in the hunt for their solutions.

Examples of these assignments can be seen here.

Note: We seek to reduce screen-time for children and to make learning as analogue as possible. And so, all assignments will be sent physically, and all work can be done physically (provided that photos are taken for feedback).

Students and their families can work together, whilst knowing that they have strong, professional support at hand to offer guidance, give support, and answer any of their questions. This way, we can strike a balance between teaching and self-learning, allowing the children to bring their knowledge out of themselves, whilst giving them support and focus.

By offering a subscription, we offer:

  • A physical set of assignments,

  • Regular feedback on all work done,

  • Consistent guidance,

  • Access to our community, where you can exchange support, ideas and discoveries with other parents, and

  • Regular seminars to cover key areas and concepts for the students.

The goal is to encourage students to do everything they can to learn and develop independently with creativity, whilst providing enough support to maintaining structure, focus, and an overall trajectory towards improvement, excellence and true mental confidence and independence.
