Service Description

These lessons will teach you the Trivium education system, which is a classical model of education used for thousands of years, consisting of Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric. Masters of and contributors to the Trivium include Aristotle, Cicero, and Shakespeare. The goal of this system is to give the learner a holistic approach to the linguistic-reasoning arts, resulting in clear-thinking and communication, in a way that can be applied to any language. Once someone has mastered all three of these skills, they will find themselves better equipped to deal with many subjects and disciplines including philosophy, politics, history, literature, media, linguistics, and even the sciences. The Trivium also gives the learner skills that they can apply in business, and at home. As your tutor, I will work to guide you through this system, not just to teach you, but to equip you to be a self-learner and independent thinker who can adapt themselves to a variety of disciplines and situations. We will first discuss the Trivium so that you can understand it as a system, then I can either guide you through the parts which are of most interest to you, or we can work through the entire model systematically, using my own books and materials.
